AVI (تشابك الصوت والفيديو)

AVI هي حاوية وسائط متعددة قديمة طورتها Microsoft تُشابك تيارات الصوت والفيديو. لا تزال تُصادف في الأرشيفات القديمة لكنها حُلّ محلها بـ MP4 وMKV لجميع الاستخدامات الحديثة.

لا تستخدم AVI للفيديو الجديد. استخدم MP4 للتوافق أو MKV للمرونة. استخدم AVI فقط مع أنظمة قديمة تتطلبه.

يستخدم AVI حاوية RIFF (تنسيق ملف تبادل الموارد) مع مقاطع: 'hdrl' (رؤوس التيارات) و'movi' (البيانات المشابكة) و'idx1' (فهرس الإطارات الاختياري). حد 2 غيغابايت في النسخة الأصلية.

التاريخ

قدمت Microsoft تنسيق AVI في عام 1992 كجزء من تقنية Video for Windows. كان تنسيق الفيديو المهيمن في التسعينيات لكنه يفتقر لميزات حديثة مثل البث والترجمات المتقدمة.
