التفاصيل التقنية
يستخدم FLAC تنبؤاً خطياً لنمذجة عينات الصوت ويُخزّن البقايا بترميز Rice. يدعم ما يصل إلى 8 قنوات و32 بت و655,350 هرتز. يتضمن التنسيق التحقق MD5 وجدول نقاط البحث وعلامات Vorbis comment.
التاريخ
أصدر Josh Coalson أول إصدار من FLAC في عام 2001 كبديل مفتوح المصدر لترميزات الصوت الخاصة بدون فقد. تبنته منصات البث مثل Tidal وAmazon Music HD وApple Music (عبر ALAC ثم FLAC).
