Grid System

Design Grid System

A framework of columns, gutters, and margins used to create consistent, aligned layouts in design.

Detalle técnico

A grid system divides a layout surface into columns separated by gutters with margins on the outer edges. The classic 12-column grid (used by Bootstrap and Foundation) allows divisions into halves, thirds, quarters, and sixths. Modern CSS Grid makes custom column counts trivial: grid-template-columns: repeat(auto-fill, minmax(250px, 1fr)). The 8px baseline grid aligns all spacing to multiples of 8, creating visual rhythm — adopted by Material Design and most design systems.

Ejemplo

```css
/* Grid System: design specification example */
.component {
  font-family: Inter, system-ui, sans-serif;
  font-size: 1rem;
  line-height: 1.5;
  color: #1a1a1a;
  padding: 1rem 1.5rem;
}
