HEIC هو تنسيق صور حديث يعتمد على برنامج ترميز الفيديو HEVC (H.265)، ويُستخدم كتنسيق الصور الافتراضي على أجهزة Apple. يوفر ضغطًا أفضل بنحو 50% من JPEG مع دعم ميزات مثل خرائط العمق والصور الحية. تحافظ ملفات HEIC على جودة أعلى بأحجام أصغر لكن دعمها محدود خارج منظومة Apple.

التاريخ

تم توحيد HEIC كجزء من MPEG-H الجزء 12 (ISO/IEC 23008-12) في عام 2015. اعتمدته Apple كتنسيق كاميرا iPhone الافتراضي في iOS 11 (2017).
